Andrew da Roza is a qualified addictions psychotherapist who specialises in sex addiction. Andrew practices motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy to help clients identify their values, goals and strengths to enact positive change in their lives.

Currently, Andrew is Chairman of We Care Community Services, and sits on the Board of the Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association.

Andrew da Roza is a qualified addictions psychotherapist with a Master in Counselling from Monash University, Australia, and a Master of Science in Addictions from King’s College, London; the Virginia Commonwealth University, USA; and the University of Adelaide, Australia.

Andrew is professionally qualified as Substance Abuse Therapist, certified by the Asia Pacific Certification Board; a Substance Abuse Counsellor certified by the Association of Practitioners Specialising in Addictions Counselling; a Sex Addiction Therapist under the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals; and a Master Solution-Focused Practitioner.

Currently, Andrew is a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the Singapore Association for Counselling; and also a member of the ACA College of Alcohol and other Drugs.

During therapy sessions, Andrew practices motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy, to assist clients in identifying their values, goals and strengths to effect positive changes in their lives. He also believes in the value of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy to help clients build skills for: distress tolerance; emotion regulation; and interpersonal effectiveness.

Well connected to the recovery group community, Andrew understands the power of 12 Steps in providing meaningful service to the recovery fellowship and the wider community.

Apart from his experience in the helping profession, Andrew practiced as a lawyer for over 25 years and has a BA in Law from Kent University, and a Masters in Law from King’s College, London. He was in private practice with Linkers and with Hogan Lovells international law firms; and he was General Counsel of FedEx’s Asia Pacific Division and with International SOS during that time. He also has an Executive MBA, jointly from Kellogg, Northwestern University and HKUST.

Now, Andrew serves as Chairman of We Care Community Services, a charity assisting people with addictions and their families; a member of the Board of the Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association; and a member of the National Council of Social Services, Service Committee and a Mental Health Services Advisor to the Committee.
